چکیده
Abstract The Molasse Basin is one of the most promising areas for deep geothermal exploitation in Germany and target horizon aquifer Upper Jurassic carbonates. Carbonate deposits can be very heterogeneous even over a small area due to diagenetic processes varying depositional environments. preferential targets carbonate are fault zones, reef facies karstified areas, since they expected act as hydraulically permeable zones high porosity permeability. Therefore, identifying these structures characterizing, e.g., their internal distribution importance. This accomplished using 3D reflection seismic data. Besides structural information, surveys provide important reservoir properties, such acoustic impedance, from which model derived. In our study Munich we carried out amplitude inversion get an impedance data set, corresponding geological model, logging six wells at ‘Schäftlarnstraße’ site. logs were than used calculate model. shows wide range 0 20% entire zone lithology along reveals that dolomitic limestone has highest porosities calcareous dolomite lowest porosities. cut by large W–E striking fault, Fault, footwall north it higher more intense karstification hanging wall south. Geophysical Inversion of 3D Seismic Data in Panax's Limestone Coast Geothermal Project to Determine Reservoir Porosity
Panax Geothermal Limited is developing a geothermal resource in South Australia, the Limestone Coast Project, which is a conventional “hot aquifer” reservoir in a deep sedimentary basin. The initial development is the Pretty Hill Formation sandstones in the Penola Trough of the Otway Basin. The area is an exploited gas basin with modern 3D seismic and excellent existing petroleum well data cove...

Petro-physical parameters of the reservoir (porosity, permeability, water saturation) are the most important parameters of oil and gas reservoirs. Economic appraisals of oil and gas reservoirs, as well as management and planning for the production and development of these reservoirs are not possible without the estimation of petro-physical parameters. Since measurements of these parameters are ...

a large distribution of pore sizes, ranging from microcrystalline to large vugs. Knowledge of these pore spaces and their connectivity is crucial to hydrocarbon reservoir characterization and to hydrogeological and near surface environmental applications. In this paper, we present permeability and porosity images based on crosswell seismic measurements integrated with well logs and petrography ...
متن کاملComparing Geostatistical Seismic Inversion Based on Spectral Simulation with Deterministic Inversion: A Case Study
Seismic inversion is a method that extracts acoustic impedance data from the seismic traces. Source wavelets are band-limited, and thus seismic traces do not contain low and high frequency information. Therefore, there is a serious problem when the deterministic seismic inversion is applied to real data and the result of deterministic inversion is smooth. Low frequency component is obtained fro...
متن کاملA Review of Reservoir Rock Typing Methods in Carbonate Reservoirs: Relation between Geological, Seismic, and Reservoir Rock Types
Carbonate reservoirs rock typing plays a pivotal role in the construction of reservoir static models and volumetric calculations. The procedure for rock type determination starts with the determination of depositional and diagenetic rock types through petrographic studies of the thin sections prepared from core plugs and cuttings. In the second step of rock typing study, electrofacies are deter...
